Despite a comfortable 3-0 win over TP Mazembe in the Final of the World Club Cup Inter Milan Boss Rafael Benitez has paid the price for their poor league form. His sacking 6 months into the job is not a major surprise, however it is disapointing to see football taking on such a short term attitude. Someone should remind the powers that be as these clubs just how long it took Sir Alex Fergusson to turn around Manchester United.

Inter Milan Give Beleaguered Benitez A Boost With Place In Club World Cup Final

Champions League title holders Inter Milan finally gave their fans something to cheer about when beating South Korean side Seongnam Ilhwa 3-0 in the World Club Cup Semi Final Last Night.

Inter are not having a good season and a win here went some way towards relieving the pressure on manager Rafael Benitez who looks to have jumped from frying pan to fire since leaving Liverpool.

In a clinical performance the Korean side rarely looked likely to pull of a shock and goals from Stankovic, Zanetti and the impressive Milito ensured that Milan marched through to the semi final where they will play TP Mazembe who are the 1st African side to make the finals.
