After their dismal if ultimately successful match against Lichtenstein it is not too surprising to see Scotland attempt to shake things up a bit for their crucial match in the Czech Republic. The Czechs will likely be their main rival for the play off spot and picking up a point at least in this one would be a major boost to their qualification hopes.
The main talking point in the Scotland line up is the inclusion of QPR striker Jamie Mackie who will make his debut at the expense of in-form stalwart Kenny Miller. Craig Levein has also introduced Gary Caldwell who has not made a start for Wigan this term and overall looks like he would settle fro a 0-0 draw judging by the rest of the squad. Both Celtic & Hibernians tried this defensive tactic in Europe this season and both came unstuck. Lets hope the National team fares a bit better with this high risk tactic.
The Scotland Squad: McGregor, Hutton, Weir, McManus, Whittaker, Caldwell, Fletcher, Dorrans, Morrison, Naismith, Mackie
Czech Republic Squad (TBC): Cech, Pospech, Hubnik, Suchy, Kadlec, Hübschman, Plasil, Stajner, Polak, Rosicky, Necid
