Whitley Bay Reach 3rd Consecutive FA Vase Final

Whitley Bay will attempt to secure a place in football history in May when they meet Coalville Town in the 2011 FA Vase Final. Winners in 2009 & 2010 now the Bay hope to make it 3 on the bounce, a feat never achieved in the competitions history.

They reached the final with an emphatic 5-2 aggregate victory over Poole Town winning the away leg 2-1 thanks to two very late goals, and they completed the job thanks to a Paul Chow  hat-trick. It could have been very different had the Dorset side mamaged to keep their composure better, as they led in both games in the early stages, however Whitley Bay have shown a never say die attitude and they will go to Wembley as justifiable favourites, and we expect them to complete their historic treble.

Final Score 3-1 and 5-2 on aggregate
