Luton Bow Out In Bad Week For Non League Clubs

Luton joined Droylsden and FC United of Manchester in losing to League One sides in the FA Cup replays this week. This left Crawley Town as the only Replay winner, although Droylsden must be wondering how it all went so wrong leading 2-1 with a minute to go before losing 8-2 after extra time – must be one of the most amazing turn around in recent FA Cup  history.

Luton had the early lead, however despite just about edging the balance of play were caught out by Charlton’s superior finishing. Luton can now concentrate on getting back into the league while Charlton will have a nice London Derby in the New Year with Tottenham in round 3.
